Picture of Townsend's Solitaire

This wayward Townsend's Solitaire was present at Debbie Bowers' home for a few weeks in the Spring of 1996. It was the first Maryland record, and the farthest south that a Townsend's Solitaire has ever been reported in the east. An article that Debbie wrote about this bird for BirdWatchers Digest can be seen in the March/April 1998 issue. This photograph was taken by George Jett. It was provided for exclusive use on this website and is not to be used for any other purpose.
