Welcome
to
the Harford Bird Club. Harford County is located in the northeast
part of Maryland at the head of the Chesapeake Bay and offers
a diverse habitat for both breeding and migrating bird species.
With the bay and the Susquehanna River on the eastern border and
Little Gunpowder Falls on the western border there is a variety
of habitats. Four State Parks: Susquehanna,
Palmer,
Rocks
and Gunpowder;
as well as Eden Mill, Harford
Glen, and Conowingo Dam offer
excellent birding opportunities. A total of 310 species have been
recorded in Harford County.
We
hope you enjoy your visit to this site and if you visit Harford
County, please let us know.

MOS
Annual State Conference
I
wanted to encourage our members to consider registering and attending
the upcoming MOS Annual State Conference that
Harford is hosting May 24-26 at the Richlin Ballroom and Ramada
Inn in Edgewood. If you have never attended a conference before,
this is a great opportunity to meet and bird with folks from across
the State. We have a great variety of field trips planned and
the keynote speaker is our own David Ziolkowski, Jr. All important
information and registration material can be found on the MOS
website at www.mdbirds.org and
using the activities link in the upper left corner of the web
page. Hope to see you there.
